FAQs

What methods and activities do you use to teach kids?

I believe that creativity is key when teaching young learners. They need to be fully engaged and having fun in order to really learn something. To make the lessons memorable, I like to use a variety of activities, including storytelling, music and songs, interactive games and roleplay. Through repetition of vocabulary, mini grammar lessons and plenty of speaking activities, I can see children develop and improve their English.

Do I need to stay next to my child during the lesson?

This totally depends on you and your child’s preference. Having noticed that young learners can be very shy in the first session, I’m more than happy for you to stay until they feel more comfortable. However, if they are confident enough, learning independently can be more efficient. My priority is ensuring that they feel comfortable to learn, whether that’s with or without a parent/guardian by their side.

Do you have relative experience teaching young learners?

Absolutely! Some of my previous teaching roles predominantly involved working with children and teenagers. This lead me to understanding the importance of patience, innovation and setting clear rules in both online and physical classrooms. Despite the majority of my teaching experience being with adults, I really enjoy teaching kids as it can be incredibly rewarding and fun!
